今日からもう１２月ですね！そして今日（2012/12/01）からアドベント（待降節）が始まりました。今年もまた心あらたに、父なる神さまからの大きな愛のプレゼントとして、ひとり子であるイエスさまが私たちに与えられたことの驚きと感謝をもって過ごしていきたいと願います。そして喜び勇んで主を礼拝しにいった羊飼いや博士たちのように、私たち自身がまず馬小屋にお生まれに神の御子であるイエスさまに出会って喜び、主を賛美し、礼拝する者となりましょう。そして、主イエスさまの誕生というこのクリスマスのうれしい知らせを多くの人々にご紹介する者へと導かれていきましょう。
今月に皆様とご一緒に賛美する賛美歌は、「世の成らぬさきに （新生讃美歌155番）」です。詞「Corde natus ex Parentis」はスペインの法律家であり、詩人であったAurelius Clementsプルデンティウス(348～413)によって、書かれました。初期のキリスト教の神学を叙情詩の形式で表現しました。1854年、J. M. ニールが英語の詞にし、最後を黙示録４－７章をベースにした頌栄の詞で閉じました。
曲は12～15世紀頃にできた単旋律聖歌で、曲名のDIVINUM MYSTERIUMも単旋律聖歌集の一つにあったテキストの初行から取られました。曲調は拍子がなく、強い波の図形が、何重にも続いていくような形で、語るように歌います。
この非常に古いルーツをもつ賛美歌は、私たちにキリストを信じる信仰の問い直しとその信仰の確信を迫ります。私たちがクリスマスに多くの方々に出会っていただきたいイエス・キリストという方はどのような方で、何のために来られた方なのか…。
「世の成らぬさきに既にいました方」「このみどり子こそ世の救い主」「約束の時は今こそ来る」、と明確に語っています。
賛美を通して、クリスマスに誕生されたイエス・キリストを証し、栄光、神にあれ（Gloria in excelcis Deo）と高らかに賛美できればと願っています。
